Greetings. I've read around on various sites with people having a similar problem but didn't see any note of it in the 1340 thread or any other threads and other pages didn't have a fix that worked for me. Sorry if there is one around here somewhere.

I've been working on a friend's XPS 1340. He has a MS Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000, as do I for my Sager NP2096. We both recently upgraded to Windows 7 Pro. He had previously paired his mouse to the computer and he was complaining about the wheel not working. When I started working on his computer I noticed there was no bluetooth icon in the taskbar and there was no bluetooth receiver listed in Device Manager. (Very strange considering his mouse was still working, except the wheel)

So I started searching all over about the XPS13 having problems with the bluetooth in Windows 7. I eventually found a Dell support page where they linked to some old Dell fix that turned on the bluetooth. I ran it and voila, the bluetooth icon came back and Windows 7 automatically installed the drivers for the Dell bluetooth 370. Fixed! I thought..

Once the computer restarted the bluetooth receiver was once again not showing up in Device Manager. I finally found the Dell drivers for the 370 minicard and installed it. This finally enabled the bluetooth permenantly, however when I pair the mouse it adds the mouse to the device list, installs the drivers and then poof, the mouse dissappears from the device list.

I was just curious if anyone else has had any issues like this with Windows 7 on their XPS13 and if you know any way to fix this?

    Thanks!
