I am about to do the fresh install of Vista 64 on the 1340 and would like if someone can point to good guide here. For some reason the advanced search feature is gone I am not able to find what I am looking for. I have seen Les's guide but it is for lappys with MD and 1340 does not have MD partition.

Some of the questions I have:
    1. Dell link where they provide drivers install order etc.
    2. Can I format the whole drive including the recovery?
    3. Should i keep recovery drive intact?
    4. Will I get a chance to create multiple partitions (OS, DATA etc.). How much space 64bit Vista takes?
    5. Do I need to back up anything? I do not have any data on this as i just got it.
    6. I plan to download the fingerprinting SW that people say never comes on the supplied disk from the Dell support websites, anything else I should down load.

Anything else I need to know before i begin the fresh install?

    Thanks all
