    I am getting a XPS.
    required config.
    i5
    4gb
    1gb nvidia 420m
    Backlit keyboard
    9 cell battery.
    500gb hdd.

    Shud i get a 14 or a 15??
I will be getting a 720p so screen resolution option is nt an issue. The deciding factor cud be the extra subwoofers in 15.

Can anyone tell me is there a noticeable deffirence in sound ???

Most people will tell you the 15 because it is not much less weight than the 14. Also the 14 costs more. I personally chose the 14 because it is still a lot smaller on the HxW dimensions and I wanted something more portable.

On new machines, we've heard lately that Dell is not selling the 1080p on the 15 anymore. And never offered on the 14 anyway. Most people just saying replace with the aftermarket screens (which are pretty cheap). So in that respect neither is better at the moment.

15 has better bass. Otherwise sound about the same, I have heard both.

I would go for the XPS 15, again as stated above the 14 commands a premium that I don't think it is worth it.

I just ordered the 15 w/ 1080p yesterday (1/27).so the screen is available again.
I'm going from a older xps M1210 that is still working so wanted a little more screen real estate.
plus The 15" build was less expensive & discounted pretty good on the aafes military epp site for me, I could not pass it up.
