    hello,

I just upgraded to windows 8 a couple days ago and am having 2 issues, the first issue is with video card drivers, i have the geforce 630m and each time i install the drivers and restart windows will not start up and I have to do a restore to previous setting. Another issue I am having is with my USB 3.0 drive that will not be recognized. I paid to upgrade and am frustrated that its not working. I purchased the XPS 14 ultrabook 2 months ago.

    Hi,

Please update the BIOS to the latest version, after the BIOS update re-install the video driver, chipset driver and also install the USB 3 driver. Please find below the link for Dell drivers download page, you may use the same to download and install the drivers. The chipset and the USB driver listed under the Windows 7 operating system is also compatible with Windows 8 therefor you may install the same.

I hope this helps, please do write back in case you need any further assistance.

    Thanks and Regards,

    please reply its been months..
I faced the same problem.. i have the A13 bios and a Dell XPS 14 ultrabook.
I updated it to windows 8 but whenever i tried to download the NVIDIA software and some other non windows softwares, my laptop did not boot after restart. I had to restore it every time. I reinstalled windows 7 and im not facing any problems in win7. Please suggest how to upgrade to win8 without facing these problems.
