    Hey,

don´t matter if you look at Dell DE, AT, CH or UK - a XPS 15 with Core i7 isn´t available there? Knows anyone the reason? Had Intel allready stopped i7-7x0 production in favour of Sandy Bridge?

Due to the Sandy Bridge fiasco, Dell most likely found itself short stocked on i7 processors [e.g. It assumed that the higher end models would be using Sandy Bridge, no Sandy Bridge = shortage] and so "pulled" the option for the i7 on the XPS 15 to protect the 17's production line.

    This is a theory.

But a theory much like "The Theory of Evolution" is a theory.
