Maybe I'm asking this too soon, but has anyone tried upgrading their mid-tier from a 61WHr to 91WHr battery? If so where did you get your battery? If it's available, or when it's available, I would love to do the upgrade...

There are a number of people in the owner's lounge thread (myself included) that are interested in the same thing. I've started a wiki article for it - please update us if you find a solution!

I've replaced my mSATA card (I need to do a write up on my upgrade experience) and all I need is to replace the battery and my mid-tier is a top-tier. I've heard that Dell has the batteries, but they are waiting for the 9530 to "age" a little more before they release them as an accessory...

BTW, that WIKI is extremely useful. I've learned so much from hanging out there...

I have heard that an upgrade cost $150, but that would mean you do have to throw away the existing battery. Maybe wait awhile until your existing battery goes above the 300 charge cycle then get a new one. Perhaps you can trade it in somewhere. I never used my battery at all (plugged in 24*7) so maybe I can trade it in as new! :) Also is there any hardware modification required to upgrade the battery, apart from sacrificing the 2.5' slot?
