    BIOS A06 has been released:
Drivers and Downloads | Dell [United States]

Please post experiences post BIOS update. Be nice to track here instead of the Owners Lounge.

Of note: I'm waiting for issues to be corrected to order mine.

Tried myself now: driver not found! Why it is optional and not urgent?
    So better off without it.

Bios A06 : Set the temps control Tc at 80 degree C for GPS on Sbios Based on EC X43 version and cut in thermal table V08.

    Disabled AV and it worked.
...NO. I have got A04 instead :(. Maybe later will be ok.

HAHAHAHAHA This really struck me funny. Nicely done! (but I don't think Dell has had much to do with NASA) hehe

Imagine you have to jump through all these hoops for a brand-new car or coffee maker! Forget NASA and Mars rover.

    Sigh.

    1. So did the update fix the laptop?
    2. Does the laptop naturally run hotter than normal?
    2. If so could someone quantify?

    1. Dell Claims it is, but the GPU is how throttling erratically.
    2. I haven't really noticed a difference

    Benchmarks ok though.

Just updated BIOS to A06 on brand new XPS15 laptop as directed by Dell support to hopefully improve terrible WiFi connectivity (when you move more than 12 ft from the router) with centrino n 6235. Had to then uninstall Macafee products which broke all internet (wired and wifi) connectivity when used with the new BIOS. And once internet connectivity was restored, discovered that the original problem of very poor WiFi download speeds (from 30mbps to less than 2 Mbps) was NOT RESOLVED. So my trouble ticket with Dell is open and the 30 day new purchase/return clock is ticking.
