The XPS Owner's Thread is a bit large and the search function on the forum doesn't work (apparently the word "scaling" hasn;t been mentioned, so I thought I'd take the liberty to create one dedicated to mastering the scaling issues.
Firstly, I'm on 3200x1800 resolution, but scaled to 166% as I saw someone say that it helped it look like 1920x1080 resolution. I can confirm it hasn't. The screen is still so blurry.
Anyway to reduce the blur? I find the 3200x1800 at 200% looks fine and real, but it's a little too large. 150%, 166%, and 175% all look blurry.
Keen to hear how everyone is going with it.

I've found that even at 200% scaling there are certain images and text in Internet Explorer and other web browsers that do not look correct. Whatever that default MSN.com website that Dell programs into IE is a good example. There is a graphical down arrow that only lines up correctly when the scaling is set to 100%.
For the time being, I've been running my laptop at 1920x1080. It doesn't look as sharp as 3200x1800, but then it shouldn't. It still looks as good as a native 1920x1080 display IMO.
Overall, the scaling in Windows is half baked. -
The scaling in Windows is fine, apps and websites need to take advantage of it and High-DPI displays though. If you go to a website that has been optimized for the Retina Macbook Pros it looks equally good on my XPS15.
I run my laptop at 150% scaling and for the most part it is fine for me. I mostly use Chrome and that is still a little rough around the edges with its High DPI support. -

Seriously? Do you not find it horribly blurry? Like everything it over the top blurry. What drivers are you using. NVIDIA (Updated?) or original DELL ones?

Took me a minute to find out what you were talking about... When you say crap and attach a picture for comparison, I'd expect some gravely noticable errors in the scaling. The things you're showing are minor glitches I could perfectly live with.
Though I agree this shouldn't happen and the scaling should work 100%. -
Those kinds of "glitches" you see appear everywhere, over every application, and every website. Additionally, some applications are just down right fuzzy looking when using Windows based scaling.

Actually, nothing looks great in Windows 8, IMHO... and Windows 7 display scaling seems to work better to me than it does with Windows 8.

So does anyone have good results from either changing the resolution (if so to what?) or keeping it at 3200x1800 and changing the zoom percentage (if so, what percentage worked?)
Cheers!
