    Hi,

    I just received my XPS 15 9550 4K, i7, 16GB, 512GB
Overall it is great, however one issue with the display is when viewing at a slight angle from either side or looking down, the display turns red/purple on white or black backgrounds. Is this normal for this display or maybe a defective panel? Would appreciate any other users feedback with their 4K touch displays.

Also, looking directly at the display at around 50% brightness it seems to have yellow tint and not true white compared to my other laptop / monitors. At 100% brightness it's a bit more closer to white.
Tried adjusting various setting in Dell's Color app but didn't solve any of these issues.
    Thanks.

I've had 2. Both had this issue. I think it's just the panel.

Mine has a slight red tint when viewing from an extreme angle. I'm not sure if it's worth going through the hassle of getting it replaced or if it's normal. I'll look for others to chime in.

Thanks for the replies...yes it is a minor annoyance, but might not be worth the gamble of trying for a new one.
I am waiting for a reply from Dell tech support that said they are "investigating" it.

Without seing your display it is dificult to judge.
But most notebooks have a very blueish display.
So if you are used to such a wrongly white the correct white from the XPS 15 will appear reddish.
I had access to 3 UHD models (besides mine) and all had white very near to 6500K (under 1% deviation)

Yes it's true my other monitors have a more blue or cooler white appearance.
    thanks for your feedback
