Why do manufacturer's do this? The Dell XPS 15 (and many of Dell's other models) does not indicate in any way that the computer has been put into the Sleep state - so the laptop appears just the same as if it has been powered off. Every PC/laptop I've owned has implemented a simple blinking/pulsing LED to indicate the sleep state.

Potential workaround ideas (limited to working on AC power only):
    1. Plug in a USB Hub with a power status LED on it (One must 'Enable 'USB Wake Support' in the 'Power Management' section of the BIOS first).
    2. Try a 'Blink' programmable thumbnail LED from: http://blink1.thingm.com
Anyone else frustrated by this and have a workaround idea to suggest?
