Just received my XPS 15 a couple days ago, and it's extremely loud when playing games.
I've looked at a couple of review sites, and this isn't really mentioned ever.
My temps are fairly low, staying below 60 when playing GTA V.
    Should I be concerned?

How loud? Use a decibel meter app on your phone and place it next to the computer.

It seems like it lies around the 50 decibel mark which seems in line with the results shown by some reviewing sites.
Perhaps I'm just not used to the noise; it just seems so loud. Sorta breaks my immersion...

Yeah with a laptop this thin you're going to be getting 40-50dB under max load.

Headphones. Get a pair of good noise isolating headphones.

My current favorite headphones are Xiaomi Piston 3. $20 headphones that perform like $50-$100 headphones.

    Hey all,
    I think I found a solution (sorta).
Using Intel XTU, I undervolted 160 mV (seems stable so far). This seems to reduce the fan noise, as the computer isn't generating as much heat anymore.
Thanks a lot for the helpful replies!
