XPS 15 9550 Huge overall performance problem

Hello everyone !

Before starting, I just want to point that I'm new here, so I'm not really used to all the rules of posting. That said :

I recently (9 months ago) bought an XPS 15 7550 (4K, RAM:2x8GB and SSD:512GB model), I was quite satisfied at first. However, it seemed like it wasn't as fast as I thought it would be but It didn't bother that much.

However, now, it's incredibly slow. Even browsing the web is a pain, any page takes a long time for loading (tested all the browsers), letter always appears ~2 seconds after I typed, it's kind of insane. (i.e. I can't type fluidly on Facebook)
So I've did a benchmark (UserBenchmark), to see which component was in fault. And it looks like everything is working well below expectations.

UserBenchmarks: Game 15%, Desk 23%, Work 19%
CPU: Intel Core i7-6700HQ - 15.3% (15.3% !!!! And no app running except the benchmark one)
GPU: Nvidia GTX 960M - 16.2%
SSD: Nvme PM951 SAMSU 512GB - 93.4%
RAM: Micron 16ATF1G64HZ-2G1A2 2x8GB - 43.2%
MBD: Dell XPS 15 9550

I'm using my computer mostly for Photoshop, Premier Pro, and design programs. So I'm not a huge downloader of content, therefore I don't think the problem comes from a malware/virus.
My BIOS and all my drivers are updated.

Does anyone had such a problem ?
Do you have any recommendations ? Shall I just call Dell services and send back my computer ?

edit: nevermind.

We can't help you without seeing information about your speeds. Use HWINFO and check your CPU speed during load. Do it for all components, like memory, ssd, etc.

 

Sorry fella, like Eason said what you have put is bugger all use, start looking in the event viewer, where does the typing lag take place (what programs, as all doesn't help as an answer, have you optimised the SSD by running the trim command.

the current Dell intel video drivers are buggy and may cause your issue, a good idea if it is the problem is if you also have locking up that can last around 10 seconds, we all fixed that by manually installing Intels latest video driver and not the Dell one.

I'm gonna run HWINFO and try to see my CPU speed on load (I just updated my Intel drivers).

Otherwise I'll try the video driver option, and if it doesn't work I'll just call Dell and send my computer back so they can check what's happening ! I'm still under a warranty, so it should be alright

I've found the problem ! And even Solved it, so I'm gonna share that if anyone has the same problem

So, I checked my CPU as Eason Suggested, and I found they were completely underclocked. All the cores were stuck at 800 MhZ. (HwInfo)
After 2 hours of "fine" research, I've found the solution to get rid of that problem.

So, I just had to waste completely my battery, until the computer would'nt power on again. Then I plugged the charger and pressed the Power button for 10 seconds, after the boot everything returned to normal. I checked the CPU again and it was finally running properly (~2,4 GhZ)

Second option : Opening the bottom lid, disconnecting-reconnecting the battery

I hope anyone who has this problem can solve it with these solutions !
