XPS 15 OLED 4k screen confirmed by Dell.com for March 2019 release; see press release below.

    - 4k with HDR
    - 100% DCI-P3 color gamut
    - 100,000:1 Contrast Ratio

Speculation by industry press is that 9570 is otherwise unchanged.

Not for sale on Dell's website yet.

Confirmed by Dell for March 2019 release

    https://www.dell.com/learn/us/en/us...novations-for-a-seamless-intuitive-experience

" Dell brings OLED and 240Hz displays to 15” notebooks

Dell is committed to OLED and has helped lead a market shift in OLED panels for laptops. Dell was the first to offer OLED on a 13” gaming notebook and used that success to drive 15” panels into our premium notebooks giving customers better contrast ratio, color and faster response times for gaming. The Dell XPS 15, Alienware m15 and Dell G7 15 will offer OLED with HDR, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and 100,000:1 Contrast Ratio, starting March 2019. Dell also will offer 240Hz panels on the Alienware m15 notebooks in April."

This is great but I'm looking forward to the next XPS 15 which should come out 2019. They moved the webcam to the top for the XPS 13 so likely will do the same for the next XPS 15. Also hopefully have 2000 series GPU.

Interesting how little interest there seems to be for the OLED 4k option.

At the same time, there seems to be a significant drop in posts from 9550 to the 9570. I suppose that is from increased competition, age of the XPS platform, nagging quality/driver issues. I suspect people are spending less time on enthusiast forums as a general matter and maybe watching videos, trolling unsocial media or at Reddit.

I'm assuming it's because it's going to be an absolute fortune. I'm all for it, don't get me wrong. But I'm betting she's going to be all of ~$2400+

Because in addition to all of the issues plaguing XPS, all the customers want is another issue with oled burn in. ;)

OLED burn in is the only thing that worries me. The screens are amazing, but I have no idea how resilient they will be to burn in. I'd have to look at how AW13 screens are now after they've had some use.

Phones have a lot of little tricks like pixel shift and auto keyboard hide to minimize burn in and yet my note 8 already has some app icons and keyboard imprints burnt in the screen. And that is after a year of somewhat moderate use. Modern oled televisions have burn in prevention methods in place aswell, yet you can see the latest burn in test video on rtings.com static images still cause burn in. Needless to say that id be super weary of running windows on any type of oled panel unless one is loaded with money and upgrades yearly.
