I think I'm the only one with this issue but I'm not able to see the option where I can select from the "View Menu" the option "Display GPU Activity Icon in Notification Area"

I have an Nvidia 435M GPU and i7-840 CPU.

This is just what I have done so far with this laptop but it isn't the problem:
I was trying to update the Nvidia driver to version 260.99 but the installer said something about not being compatible, so I tried the modified inf from laptopvideo2go website and installed like that, I then wasn't able to open up the Nvidia Control Panel and also discovered that those drivers won't make Optimus work so I made a system restore to go back to the version 259.39 and checked if I could see the option, but no, I then unistalled the driver and install the updated driver from dell website and now I'm on version 259.51 with the same results.

The actual problem is that I didn't know about this GPU activity feature from the beginning and I also remember that I didn't have that option even before updating the driver or whatever, so what can it be that this option is not appearing to me, before and after updating this?

Reading Nvidia Control Panel help I also noticed that I don't see the option "Run with graphics processor" when right-clicking a program, so that means I can't choose which preferred GPU to use when opening the program.

Picture examples of what I mean can be seen on the attachments. And compared to the image I found on the Dell XPS 15 L501 *Owner's Lounge* thread I can confirm I don't have that option and something is wrong, image HERE

So any ideas of what to do? Need help.

    Thanks in advance.

DUDE!!! Only the i5 processor can have optimus since it has integrated graphics on board. The i7 processor doesn't have optimus so everything runs on the graphics processor. Hence the reason why you don't see GPU activity icon.
