When I got my XPS about 2 months ago brand new, it had 4% battery wear, and now it's already at 7%

This is way too high imo, should I tell Dell? Has anyone else had a new battery for this?

Yeah I'd complain, mines 8 months old and still at 2%. But I very rarely use the battery, It's just the 6 cell though

Thanks for the reply, will give them a call tomorrow.

I just checked the website, and it says "using the AC adapter for long periods of time will not affect the life/wear of a battery as it stops charging when it's full" - this is how I use it 99% of the time so 7% is bad for 4 months imo, especially as the further along it gets the quicker the battery wears.

Well on my 12 month old 9 cell, i have 21% wear. So thats probably about normal.

You should ask for a replacement, 21% sounds a little too high

I have 4.9% wear on my 9-cell, 12 months. (I am surprised at how well it is holding up :D ).
