    Hello,

I just bought new Dell XPS 15 L502X laptop i tested and it worked up to mark.

I have a small problem that is the silver lid and black half of the lcd along the right hinge area of back side of laptop are not lined up properly the black half at right hinge corner area is little outside where as i checked the left part they are lined up properly,is it normal would it cause any problems in future.

    Problem Location: right side hinge.

Yes one more another problem I would like to mention sometimes when I press up power button the laptop doesn't start I have to press it two times.

I don't know about the hinge, but with the power button I find that if when you press it nothing happens, you need to press it for a tiny bit longer.

The problem is common around the dell laptop I guess.

My hinge is fine but yeah you do have to hold in the power button for atleast 2 secs.

I'd bet the power button "problem" is on purpose... or at least it should be. I hate wiping/brushing down a laptop and accidentally powering it up.

That is by design, if it was touch sensitive then you could accidently turn it on or off.
