Just got everything installed and decided to check some results. Only program I'm using is ATTO Disk Benchmark. It is used by all manufacturers to rate their drives, so it is the best comparison from theoretical to actual specs. I've put a total of 60GB of just programs on this drive, giving it no time to run trim and do a little housekeeping. Drive is rated at 415/260 max. I saw higher speeds after formatting, but those aren't real world. Here are the results:

Curious why you didn't go with the Vertex 3? Was it because the C400/M4 has better availability?
Regardless, those numbers are SWEET! How's power consumption. any noticeable increase in battery life?
Wish I could fit all my in 256GB -
Luckily, I'm able to fit all my stuff into the 256GB with room to spare. I also have two WD 500GB Essentials, and the factory 640GB in a USB 3.0 External that is being used as my NAS. One WD Essential is a backup only of my system. The other is for very large files like movies that should not go on an SSD due to the amount of space they take up, and the fact that they don't run any faster. -
Am thinking about getting an i7 L502x and putting in a good SSD.
(have SSDs, IntelX25s, on my desktop and old but Fast 14" Fusjitsu S6510)
But I see from Noslow's posts this dell is no easy back panel access.. makes it difficult.
So I may get the Pre-configured SSD, which I assume is a mid-to-low range Samsung? -
