Today, I upgraded to the latest version of the intel centrino driver from the Dell website, dated 7/14 (or 7/15). I noticed that I pretty much could not connect to any wireless network anymore. I tried a system restore, but it failed, and a rollback which also failed.

So I decided to reinstall windows, loaded it up, and threw an old copy of the driver on there just to get on the internet, had no issues connecting. Then I went to the Dell site, and started installing all of the drivers including the latest wireless thinking it was a fluke the last time, and sure enough, i can no longer connect to wireless networks.

Anybody seen an issue? How to fix without reinstalling once more?

I've noticed with the latest wireless driver from Dell, that whenever computer goes to sleep and then wakes up it loses the wireless connection and have to manually disable it on the keyboard and then re-enable.

Think that driver might be buggy?

You can always uninstall, delete it and try download one directly from intel website. Use their automatic driver detection (IE only from what I can remember)

Did you check that your preferred network is still in the list?

Sometimes, they get deleted when updating wireless drivers.

Re-install or clean install would definitely remove them.
