I recently replaced my HDD with a SSD, and since then the two-finger scrolling has stopped working. This is even after re-formating and re-installing Windows.

I've re-seated the ribbon cables to make sure I didn't jostle anything when I removed and replaced the palmrest/keyboard frame.

Is there anything I've likely missed in checking to see why the trackpad isn't two-finger scrolling? I can use it like a normal trackpad where the general movement and tapping works. Both buttons work. It's just that the two-finger gestures aren't recognized anymore.

    Thanks!

Just seen your post, I'm ninety-nine point nine percent sure this is software/driver related, especially since it seems to work with basic features.

    Are you on Windows 10?

I never used these features tho, I mean multi-finger gestures and so.

Indeed, I'm on Windows 10. I thought it was driver related at first, but the thing is that this happened only after I swapped out the SSD. I was on Windows 10 before swapping the disks. I guess a fresh install of Windows 10 didn't include the Synaptics gestures?

I'll try the Synaptics driver, and see if that helps. Thanks.

SSD or HDD that does not matter as it's only a storage device and should have no impact at all (about your problem).

Yeah give it a try, the generic driver should work just fine, here are the latest official Synaptics' drivers: http://www.synaptics.com/resources

Get the one described as Windows 10 PS/2 & SMBus Devices v19.0.19.1*.
