Hi everyone:
I would like to know which are the settings that you use on the Xps 15 for the sound... I haven't managed to get the best sound of it because I don't know which settings would be the best... I got the X-Fi option...
Any help would be appreciate it![]()
Oh and one more thing... is it ok that I got a 680gb hard drive besides I ordered a 750gb? hehe
Thanks and regards!

Heh. Music and the way it sounds is a purely subjective thing. Set it the way it sounds best to you! As far as the hard drive. It's not that big a deal with the size of the drive, it's how fast it is. The 750 is a 7200 rpm drive. it's pretty quick for a mechanical drive. I don't know how fast yours is. The speed of a mechanical drive can make a difference depending on how you use your laptop.

The discrepancy is due to two things:
a) Hidden recovery partition taking up 15 gigs.
b) The fact that Windows (unlike the newest version of OS X, but like every sane operating system) uses the traditional definitions, whereby a gigabyte is 1024 megabytes, and a megabyte is 1024 kilobytes, and a kilobyte is 1024 bytes. Hard drive manufacturers pretend that a gigabyte is 1000 megabytes, a megabyte is a 1000 kilobytes, and a kilobyte is 1000 byte.
So your 750GB drive (by the hard drive industry's definition) is really a 699GB (by everybody else's definition).
This is not new, I remember having a '420 meg' hard drive back in 1995, and DOS/Win3.1 thought it was 407 megs. -
Now that I see you're right about the sound... is very subjective... so I'll keep trying different settings...
If anyone has some kind of advice, would be much appreciated...
Thanks again!
