Hi, I was curious as to whether any of you can check to see if the connection from the ac adapter to the laptop port is slightly loose because it seems that mine allows for some slight wiggling motion. Perhaps this is so to allow some "cushion" in the event someone trips on the wire forcing tension on the cord?

I have a SXPS 16, and mine is a tiny bit loose aswell, not too much to complain about, but its there. I don't think its intentional but inevitable considering they can't get an EXACT no wiggle fit and with regular usage it would be somewhat wiggly.

    Just my opinion though.

If its wiggling too much and falling out way too easy and all, then call Dell up and get them to fix it.

Yeah I wished Dell incorporated the mechanism the mbp's use for their ac adapters...one would expect they would've by now.

yeah, if only it could become an industry standard.
But that's kinda what Apple is good at, making sure their stuff stays theirs and theirs alone.
They tried to do that with the new Thunderbolt port aswell but Intel denied them.

Try some scotch tape around the adapter pin. see if it helps.
