Is there a modded realtek x-fi mb 2 driver/software that works with this?

I have to ask, why would you want a modded driver/software for this? Are there options you want that don't come standard?

    x-fi mb2 won't work but x-fi 1.1/1.2 will work

and the x-fi mb package comes creative software like cmss3d and crystallizer and it also comes with alchemy which allows hardware sound in some games.

also, i think the realtek sound alone only allows up to eax 3.0 but with the x-fi software, u can get up to eax 4.0.

My first post wasn't so clear. I meant to say that I currently have the wavemaxx audio software. Does anyone know where I can get the x-fi mb software package that works with my xps 15 alc665 audio?

    Thanks

Care to share how you did this? Have been tinkering around with a couple of things but haven't managed anything stable.

    http://www.creative.com/oem/resources/Software/X-FiMB.pdf

basically, makes music sound better, but the original realtek drivers has software for that.

it also gives EAX 4.0 and alchemy which are useful for games (hardware sound), which is why i would get it.

Btw, i tried using that install method, and the realtek audio manager didnt work. does it work for u?
