Okay, so I have my XPS 15. It came a few hours ago. My first niggle is my Service Tag does not work? Is this normal or should I contact Dell?

My second needs opinion. In the attached image you will see that there is little/no mesh in a small area on the right speaker grill. I know its there and its really... really... really bugging me!

What do you think? Should I contact Dell and have them do something about it? But the only thing I can see them doing is replacing the whole palm rest?

Thanks for you opinions in advance / Ryan

Hey man, I have the exact same piece of mesh missing on the right side speaker grille and my service tag doesn't work either!
I had forgotten about the piece of mesh, I don't notice it anymore, but I was a little dissapointed with it at the start!!

At least I'm not the only one with the mesh issue! I thought is was just OCD! So can we assume this is normal? Has anyone contacted Dell regarding the issue?

Again my Service Tag does not work? Should I wait a few days before ringing Dell... it seems rather odd!

But other than these problems I have to say this laptop is stunning, the JBL audio is out of this world. I was not expecting it to be this good! :)

My Service Tag didn't work for over 2 weeks. I called Dell and had them activate my warranty and hence Service Tag.
