Do you guys notice cracks starting to appear on the palm rest? and on the edge of the left side of ur palm rest?

I believe it is due to heat and i am guessing the one of the reason dell uses the brush finish is to hide the small cracks appearing later on.

I have been using this laptop for 4-5 months now and now cracks starts to appear!

Check your laptop and use your finger to push it vertically on ur palm rest and see if you can find cracks or not

P.S. This might not relate to those new users

    Hi there,
I'm sorry..I don't have this problem with my 1530 ~ and have had it since 1/08.

I think if, this is bothersome...you need to call Dell and have it either fix it, or have it replaced... ;) You need to decide, and look also, at how long you plan on keeping your 1530 for... ;) :)

That is what I would do.. ;) :)

    Cin' :)

Hey...do you have onsite/at home service included in your warranty?

If you do, then yes they can. ;) :)

You should contact XPS support, and arrange to have this taken care of ;) :)

    Cin ;) :)
