I've been having this problem ever since I installed XP on my 1530. No matter what program I use, I just always get an error when at the end of burning an audio CD. Whenever I burn a data CD it works fine, but never audio. Help?

I have also noted now that my computer notices the E drive, but when I try to open it it says:

    E:\ is not accessible

    Incorrect Function

um... thats an error in your program, not in the burner...
There's no technical difference between a music CD and a data cd, except the music cd is seperated into tracks, while the data cd is only one track..
Try another program for burning music CD's.

This has happened in EVERY program. I can't pinpoint the problem :(

what burner do you have? i know when we had the matsu drive on the toshiba notebook it refused to do a disc at once burn for audio. the only way i could burn audio was by doing it track at once.. cant say that is your issue but its a thought. your settings from within xp may be damaged.

go to device manager, find the cd/dvd drive. uninstall it. i recc running a good reg cleaner. ccleaner works but i prefer jv16powertools (be careful with it its MUCH MORE powerful than ccleaner) clean the reg for all traces of it. then reboot and let windows install the correct drivers again and see if that corrects the problem. it could also be the aspi built into windows possibly. try doing what i said and see if that helps.

and yes to the above if you are burning a audio cd there are differences than data if it is trying to write cd text (which certain matsu drives can not do) and doing a disc at once write. it sounds like its error'ing when its trying to finalise. also to the op can you post a log from a burning program you are using that would def help to pinpoint it.
