    XPS 1530 and Vista 64 Webcam, working yet?

    Yes it does work in Vista x64 for me too. I used the drivers listed at the link above, and I downloaded the webcam software from Dell's website (though I am currently using a version of it I downloaded from Creative which is the same thing except silver).

    Actually come to think of it, everything works for me in Vista x64. I happily run it on both the desktop and laptop listed in my signature below.

    Yeah those drivers don't work for numerous people. Webcam is detected by the OS but shows up black in every application, LED never comes on.

    It works for me on both M1330 and M1530 running Vista 64.

    I had the same problem. What I discovered is that the brightness and contract sliders in the webcam app were at their lowest settings. Adjusting those settings fixed the problem!

    is it a decent webcam thou or just a crappy thing that comes with it ??

    its a great webcam ! ;) never had a better one
