I bought my XPS 1530 (Nvidia graphics, 9 cell battery) from dell about 4 months ago, and thus far it's been a really nice notebook. However lately I have noticed that when I power it on, occasionally I will get an error message to something like,"The system is unable to identify the AC adaptor and the system will run in a reduced state and battery will not be charged, please connect at dell certified 65 watt adaptor or reseat it ". Usually, the only thing that corrects this issue is unplugging the AC adaptor from the wall and plugging it back in. I have owned many dell notebooks over the years but I have never run into an issue like this. Is their something wrong with my AC Adaptor? I wanted to get you guy's thoughts before I start meandering my way though dell support.

This is a common issue that many are seeing with the M1530... Browse around in this forum for similar, and some new threads for further information on this issue.

As for a fix, many different things have been working for many different people.. like unplug/plug in the adapter.. just continue with the boot up and so on...

Of course, you could try getting in touch with XPS premium support to hear what they say *now*, since this issue has been around for quiet some time...
