    XPS 1530 slot load keeps ejecting CD

    The slot load keeps ejecting CD/DVD I pop in.I dunno wat happened.
    OS: Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit SP1
    BIOS:A09
    Does any of you have the same problem

    Ha, ya that's my thread. Since then my disk drive has begun to make funny noises and slow down. Basically dell told me that until it dies and or my diagnostics fail and windows tells me it doesnt work, there isn't much I can do. Thanks Dell!

    that means there is only one thing left to do.
    take out the drive and accidentally take a hammer to it.

    try reinstalling the driver?

    Did it..........tragically software doesn't always catch hardware problems :rolleyes:
