The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     XPS 1530 with Zalman NC3000

    I know that this NB is quiet old now, but I'm looking for a new cooler (pad) :)

    Zalman has a interesting one, NC3000 with a large fan in the middle and a big cooling surface. On the other side, there are NC2000/1000, both already known to all users of XPS1530.

    What would you take now? Would you go for older NC2000/1000 or a newer NC3000 (which in my opinion has a better position of "cooling holes" for the XPS)?
