I have Dell XPS 1530. I am unable to use two headphones simultaneously on windows 7. Sound comes from only 1 headphone at a time which ever is made default. I am unable to make both headphones default. Both headphones worked perfectly in vista. Ne Help ?

Not sure if this is any help because I have a dell studio xps 1640 but I had the same problem after upgrading to windows 7 from vista. Dell said it was software related. Eventually i found that the IDT program had not installed even though i downloaded the driver and unpacked it. After downloading it a second time and running it, it installed the IDT audio control panel and now both headphone ports work. Hope this helps!
