I like the XPS 15z and find it to be a pretty nice laptop.

The chrome edges really upset me, I find it to be a design flaw in the way that it overlaps the bottom cover and has a sharp lip.

I'm debating removing the bottom cover, and using fine grain sandpaper to file down the edges that create the lip

Has anyone made any sort of attempt at this, or any advice for me to do it. It's my primary issue with the laptop.

    Thanks.

Nope... Mine was really sharp though... Like to the point of cutting your finger sharp.

I'm thinking of trying to sand it down. I'll post how it went. I hope that I can get it nice and flush with the bottom cover without breaking it off.
