The 2 rubber thingamabobs that keep the screen from pressing up against the keyboard when closed are starting to fall off of my laptop. If you don't know what I mean it's the thingamajigs just under the the speaker grills as part of the palm rest.

The top half of these rubber pieces are falling out. If I push them in, it 'snaps' in but immediately pops back out. Should I pull them out and reglue them (assuming they were glued)?

If you're still under warranty, dell will actually replace those for you for free. Whenever i called up for my dell warranty before i got my AW, they used to ask me each time before they finished my ticket, "do you need any new screws or rubber protectors and/or feet." Probably the best option. Hope this helps!

The machine is 7 months old. I pretty much open and close the lid 1 time per day. I got the 3 year warranty so I guess that is the best option.. I just hope they don't suggest sending out a tech for the two pieces that are probably worth about 10 cents each :)

They're going to replace the entire palmrest assembly, lol.

All I wanted was the little XPS badge (from the hinge, mine fell off) and they're replacing the entire damn screen.
