Something is probably hogging your cpu. I had some problems with IE8 with certain websites that would spike up the cpu usage, but now it is fine.

Mine does the same thing I called Dell told them what it is doing the "tech" connected to me laptop and tried installing drivers and bios updates. Then he said there was nothing else he could do well I went back and chatted with another "tech" the next day and told them it was still the same thing (still really hot) he said we will replace the motherboard gpu heatsink and bottom plastic I told him I did not want my computer almost completely replaced with refurb parts said I would prefer just to have a completely new system he said he would get back to me when he called back he said that a system replacement had been approved for a !refurb! system told him it wasn't acceptable he got a new system approved also I talked him into upgrading me to the 4670 and the RGBLED screen and the eta for the new one is Friday so maybe it will run a little better. lol Good luck with yours.

FYI they have to give you the RGB anyway if you ask because the WLED is now only in 15.6.

You was right, did a restart and it was fine, had been stress testing the unit but had turned all apps off and looked in task manager to confirm this?

Seems to have cooled down now....... thank god..... ;)
