Is it possible to pry off the keys without damage to the keyboard? I want to switch around the home, pg up, and pg dn keys (following up with sharpkeys to remap) because I can never understand who's the smart one that decided to separate the home and end keys.

I have done this on my old laptop, but I don't want to risk damaging this. Not sure if the backlight changes this whole process or not.

How do you plan on remapping the keys? Are you going to physically break the circuit tracings and resolder?

The SXPS keys can indeed be removed, but the plastic tabs holding them in place seems really flimsy so I'd be careful of that. The actual backlight is behind the keys so that wont be affected.

Like I said in my post, there is an app called SharpKeys that can change the mappings for you. All the key mappings are stored in the registry, and that app just makes it easier to modify those values. My only concern is whether or not I should do it since I don't want to break the keys.

Has anyone tried removing the keys, for either cleaning or whatever else?

I've removed my keys a couple times to clean underneath them. Just be careful, simple as that.

Just tried it and it worked out fine. I wanted to switch printscr and insert as well, but the size of the printscr is off... Oh well, I can live with that one.
