Hi all
When I got my SXPS 16 I loved it, and I still think it is a sexy machine, however in the past two months I have had nothing but problems with it. First, a screen defect led to a replacement screen whose webcam was broken, which led to a replacement screen whose microphone was broken, to finally a working screen. The HDD was starting to fail, and I had that replaced. The touchpad was becoming nonresponsive, and was replaced as well. I've also had the network card replaced at one time.
Now it freezes frequently under load. The mouse is unresponsive, as is the keyboard, and it must be hard-rebooted to be usable again.
Anyway, Dell finally offered me a replacement, and said they would contact me in less than 10 days with an offer.
What kind of replacement should I expect, and what can I ask for?

Probably another SXPS 1640. Maybe bargain for a 1645?
-
What are my chances of getting a 1645?
I can claim I've lost tons of hours of productivity from troubleshooting this (completely true)..is that enough? -
Sure. I wasn't able to nag any upgrades for my thrice-delayed 1645, so I might not be the best person to ask, lol.
Since they still seem to be selling the 1640, the chances do seem kind of meek.
