I have lost my audio output.
I usually have a pair of speakers plugged in at work, which works fine, but I have just pulled the plug out and I'm getting no sound from the on-board speakers.
The connection/disconnection of the speaker jack is being detected, as the IDT control panel confirms and i can see activity on the eq display, but can't hear anything.
    Anybody got any ideas?

there maybe a physical problem with the jack itself it may not be reverting to the internal audio feed.

if you can't get it to switch back, replacing the jack is the only option i can see.

Does that involve replacing the motherboard, or is it a separate part.

    Tried the in/out trick, nothing.
Yeah, the right hand HP socket says 'headphones connected' on the IDT panel.
As I have an extended warranty, do you think that this would be a warranty issue or wear and tear?
