    Hi guys

I just want to know if Dell fixed the problem with their new screens, i am having some dust particles in the lower left hand corner, i called Dell and after arguing with the rep, he said they will send me a box and i have to ship the Laptop to them for a screen replacement. The rep was saying that this was due because i dropped the laptop and cracked the screen, this is ridiculous because the laptop has been sitting on my desk and never been dropped. Anyway, i just want to know if they fixed the new screens, because if they don't i can wait because the replacement screen will have to be replaced again in few months. He said that for 60$ they can send a tech at my place to replace the screen, but i doubt there is a competent tech around here, so i think ill send it to the Dell at least they should know what they are doing. I am very disapointed by Dell support, i had to call many times to speak to a rep, 3 of them just hang the phone on me, one was supose to call me back and he never did, and please Dell, can you hire poeple that can actually speak well in french or english. omg it was really hard to understand each other, i live in Canada and i was speaking to a guy in Tunisia.

    Thanks for your comments

It's the cover. There is a youtube video of someone showing you how to remove the cover to clean it.

I have dust inside mine as well, but I don't care since it's impossible to see any dust under normal conditions. To be able to see the dust I have to display an all-black image and point a flashlight at the dust. But of course, dust shouldn't find it's way into the screen in the first place, especially not on a computer at that price level, so I understand your worries.

I have seen the video, but it's still a design flaw.
For now it's very hard to see, but it will get worse.
I don't really want to remove that cover every months to clean it.

    Ok guys
Here is a little update. The Laptop was sent to Dell and it came back within a week. The screen was not replaced, but apparently they tried to clean it, and it's a big failure. There are a lot of smudge inside now, imo it's worse than it was before it was sent for dust particles. But even worse, there are lots of stuck pixels now everywhere, and it was not like that before. Can someone explain to me why it is like this after a cleaning ? I think they go away with light pressure of a finger but there is over 1000 so i am calling Dell this morning about this. I tried to called yesterday, and the suposed 24/7 support for XPS system was closed. Another thing very strange to me, they reverted the bios back from A12 to A10 ? No explanations attached. I did complaint about the SSD getting slower but why did they revert the BIOS ? Nothing was done to the SSD, but i know it was disconected i guess for testing.
