I'm hoping someone who's familiar with the hardware of the XPS 1640 can solve this issue.

A couple days ago I noticed my laptop's speakers weren't working anymore. So, I plugged in the hdmi cable to go straight to my big speakers, but hdmi didn't work either. Then I also noticed that the hard drive activity, power, and wifi indicatior lights on the front of the laptop weren't on, nor was the backlit keyboard, and the touchpad didn't work.

The media control touch buttons still work, as does the keyboard, and all the USB inputs, so I'm very confused.

I've taken the laptop apart to see if there was a loose/unplugged cord inside, but to no avail. Any ideas?
