Today I lost my Bluetooth Connectivity on my XPS 1640, and I am using Win 7/64bit.
So, I attempted to reinstall the Dell Wireless 370 Bluetooth Minicard Driver to no avail...it would not get past the point of "Turn On The Wireless Switch". And, the Wireless Switch was on!
Well, turns out the 370 Minicard just needed a nice Reflash in the....![]()
XD. And, then upon reinstall of the Driver all was good!
Here is how to go about getting it to work in properly in case anyone else has this exciting situation!![]()

How to Get Your Dell Wireless 370 Bluetooth Minicard Driver to Work when You Receive the "Turn On The Wireless Switch Message" At Install for Win 7/64:
1. Down this Driver: Dell Wireless 370 Bluetooth Minicard Driver R226750 (This is the one I had been using).
2. Once you have it downloaded, do the normal > D.Click >UnZip
3. It will probably go thru Installation, and you will get to the point where it stops and asks for the "Turn On Wireless Switch". At that point > Hit Cancel Installation.
4. Now, go to your Computer > Your Dell Folder > Drivers Folder > R226750 Folder >
5. Open the R226750 Folder.
6. Look for the Win64 folder Open That > Then look for the svcpack folder > Open that.
7. You will see 3 Folders. You want the SetupBluetoothDFU
8. Double Click it to Run. You will get the "Welcome to the DFU Wizard For Bluetooth Device" Wizard..go thru the Prompt...(this is going to Flash the Internal Firmware on the Btooh ~ so when you dload the driver again..you won't get that silly prompt).![]()
9. It will ask you to please click Browse button to select a DFU Image File ~ and the DFU file is in the same "svcpack" folder. (C:\dell\drivers\R226750\R226750\Win64\svcpack\LR.dfu)
10. Once the DFU Wizard is complete, you just need to install the Driver again, and you should (hopefully) be good to go!
*Please note there is also a Folder in there for Win 32![]()
I hope this helps some of you..![]()

Good Guide cin, hopefully someone will be helped by this.

For 1645 users. I had many issues with the Bluetooth drivers for this module. Someone in the forum suggested using the 1647 drivers and since then all problems are gone. Hope this is helpful.

Hi
I had the same problem with my Dell Studio 1555. I have a Logitech M555b Bluetooth mouse which just could not connect.
Finally got it working, what I did was:
1. Followed the advice from this thread :
Dell Wireless 370/375 Bluetooth Mini-card problems fixed! by installing the
WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software v6.2.1.1500 from here Broadcom
2. Restart computer
3. Then I followed the method which Cin' has suggested and it worked!
Thanks Cin
Hope this helps someone. -
Cin',
Fantastic instructions.
I had the same thing happen on my Dell, a Code 10 error, Dell says it was a driver clash with a windows update.
I've been struggling with it for days, even got hold of Dell support, tried a number of their suggested solutions, but wasn't too keen of their last suggestion, to reinstall Windows 7, then found your instructions, you've saved me hours of reinstalling. Thankyou.
My machine is a
Precision M6500 Windows 7 Pro
with a Dell Wireless 365 Bluetooth Module.
These instructions seem to work for most dell bluetooths.
