I just updated all drivers and the BIOS running Win7.

My in-game performance is great, absolutely great. Crysis with about everything maxed out, it runs like a champ...until I unplug the charging cord. It's as if William Shatner took the reins of all PC instructions, like a FSB of a complex, periodic function. From what I've seen of throttling, it's the same thing, but in reverse; without the cord it's fine, with the cord it stutters.

Is there a performance limiting setting that I might be missing?

I'm nearing the end of my warranty, so I'm trying to solve every issue I've had with this machine. The worst being the lack of a firmware update for the SSD (VBM15D1Q), leaving me without TRIM or GC to keep the drive from degrading. The in-game audio has never been that great for this machine, but I don't know what to do about it. It's always crackling/skipping...but only in games, not music or anything else.

Also, do these seem about average for the temperatures after gaming?

Crysis runs great nearly maxed out on an XPS 1640? Lies.

Anyway I believe the conclusion from the gaming on battery thread was you need to turn on ATI PowerPlay, maximum performance (in the ATI control panel thing) when on battery, but it still won't always be possible to achieve the same results as when plugged in.

What is this, I don't even... What is my incentive for lying?

Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a shot.
