    XPS 1645 - BD-RE UJ235A ATA Problem

    Hello,

    I have the Mata BD-RE UJ235A ATA Bluray drive installed in my XPS1645, but for some reason it does not read audio cd's anymore.
    If i put in a DVD or a Blu-ray it gives me no problem and plays them.

    But when i put in an audio cd, it just says there is no CD in the slotloader.

    Anybody an idea what the problem could be?

    Hello Lowlands,

    1) Please check if the same audio CD works fine on another computer.
    2) Test with a known good audio CD.
    3) Try running the Microsoft Fixit for Optical drive troubleshooter: Fix problems with CD or DVD drives that can’t read or write media
    4) Try updating the firmware for the optical drive
