I know this question has probably been asked before but I can't seem to find a definitive answer. Anyway is there a way to keep the backlight for the keyboard on all the time? I seem to remember it staying on before I did a clean install last night, now it seems to shut off after a couple of minutes of not using the keyboard/touchpad.

Not that I am aware of.

It always has dimmed after a minute of inactivity for me.

I don't know how to change this. I googled but didn't find anything. It always turns off after 60 seconds. Very annoying.

right click on battery icon on right bottom corner -> windows mobility center -> keyboard brightness (click to it's icon) -> "Keyboard backlight will turn off if there is no activity for:" - set to "Never off".
