What I'd like to know is how far back the screen on the 1645 tilts. I like to use a notebook on my lap occasionally and was wondering about that but couldn't find any information on this in the XPS owners thread (I didn't read ALL the pages!), the review or even using the search method. I do remember something about it not tilting very far back but that could be some confusion with the Envy.

    Thanks in advance!

Typically, it is referred to as the viewing angle in reviews.

    Try that.

I was wondering too, but I'm talking about how far does it physically tilt back? I have a dell inspiron 6000 and it tilts back 180 (basically flat).

You're going to be disappointed, I don't have it in front of me, but if memory serves it's more like 120 degrees.

Yeah, the drop hinge design doesn't let it go no where near as far back as other laptops.

I'd say 120 degrees is about right.

Yeah I was referring to how far back the screen tilts, not the angles that the screen is viewable from. Thanks though.
