I got a xps 17 purchased on may 2011. within 2 months there was a problem with the touch pad so they I got the touch pad motherboard and the front cover replaced. Again in april 2012 , fortunately a month before warranty expiry, there was some issue with the charger so got the motherboard (again) and charger replaced .
Fearing future troubles I got 2 year warranty extension. Now today same problem with the charger and they are replacing my motherboard (third time ) and charger.
If I hadn't got the extended warranty , repairs would have cost me a fortune
. 15 months old laptop that to second costliest dell laptop available in India that time giving so much trouble. Seriously I doubt the manufacturing quality and quality of parts used in Dell laptops. 3 motherboard replacements in 15 months are you kidding me lol. How would I use the laptop after the warranty period without getting bankrupt (Angry).
Do something ...!!!!!! Improve quality of parts used. I have seen old Dell laptops running for ages without trouble. Why my xps is giving so much trouble Sad three repairs.
Also whenever I get the motherboard replaced the engineer never brings thermal paste, he says dell doesn't provide them with this thing. How can a powerful I-7 processor work efficiently without thermal paste (Surprise).
