Title says everything, should I just get Dell to fix this issue, or can I repair it myself? Thanks guys.

If the line is present regardless of what you are doing on the laptop then you have a faulty display and the only option is that it must be replaced. Call Dell.

I've tried restarting with no avail, thanks though. I thought there might be a way to revive dead pixels on the screen.

One thing to note is that when theres a white background you cant see the blue line, but on a black background it shows up clearly.

It really is disappointing, I hate to have to contact Dell and send the laptop away. Anyways thanks for the help.

Edit: for some reason the line disappeared... Strange.

For me this would be unacceptable on a brand new laptop, your call. More then likely Dell will send a technician who will bring the replacement parts to your home and fix it in front of you.
