I just recieved my system, reinstalled Win7 and a number of other drivers/tools. I'm wondering what you guys use to monitor Temps. Also wondering if your systems gets pretty hot during more demanding use? I noticed while watching a movie the fan really starts kickin' into over drive. I want to monitor the temps so I'm thinking about trying something like CPUID.

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
I personally use HWMonitor, as it shows other temperatures as well (GPU, HDD, chipset, even giving you battery reading and charge wear %)

I say the best option is to run ThrottleStop, careful just run it on 'Monitoring Only' cause your system isn't throttling and you need to only monitor the temps. As compared to HW monitor it can display the temps of CPU & GPU and core speed too in the tray, it also has logging features if you want.

I've read that some people are having trouble with their fan running weird when they have one of these temp monitoring software running on their laptops. I personally have not had any problem with my fan while using All CPU Meter. -
ye i recommend core temp too, its great as it has the widget

Ok, I just tried ~ 6 different monitors.
I think I like CoreTemp in the taskbar the best. However I like Speccy for more detailed system information.
Thanks for the tips,
Derek
