    XPS 17 L702x compatible w/ this 8GB x 2 RAM?

    i see no reason why it wont, i have 4x 8GB Corsair Vengence modules, only thing is, that without a modified BIOS your only going to get 1333mhz speeds not the rated 1600 of those modules

    Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll continue to wait for the price to lower. Perhaps there will be some 1333mhz CL9 sticks on sale some time...

    You have a higher end i7 28** CPU so it would set the RAM to 1600MHz out of the box. If not you can use the modded BIOS to manually set it to 1600MHz.
    And yes l702x and l502x is cappable to drive at least 1600MHz. It also depends on the CPU where the memory controller sits in. And the RAM has also to be compatible. Test another RAMs if one does not work. Look at mine in my signature, they work like a charm, but are expansive.

    mines defo not running at 1600, showing speeds for just under 1333mhz in cupz (665mhz displayed)
