    Hello
I have a dell xps 17 with a intel wireless 1000 and i use a t mobile broadband dongle, i wanted to change this to a intel wireless 6300 and a intel wwan 5440 so i can move the broadband inside and get a good wireless.

I didint order it with a tv tuner, or a wwan to begin with.

I emailed dell support asking about this and they said i couldint have a 5540 as the cable would be missing. so i thought i wouldint have the wwan cables and i dont really want to open up the back of the screen to put them in. they recomended a intel 6250 as a single card solution.

I took apart the laptop to take alook at what conections i had inside, i had all 3 calbes for the wireless and the 2 wwan cables, so instead of using the intel 6250 single card solution would i still be able to put a 6300 wireless card in and a intel wwan 5440.

    Thank you for your help.

Ok i was wondering as the dell support monkey i talked to made it sound like it needed a cable as well as the anteneia to get the wwan to work.

Yeah, either of those setups should work; you shouldn't need any additional cables for the mini cards aside from the antenna.
