    Hi Guys,

Just ordered a XPS 17 due to the great deals that Dell seem to have on this at the moment... I also have a 27 Imac and I want to use the screen on that as an external display for the XPS.

From what I know the Dell has a mini-display port and so does the Imac. Has anybody tried this and knows that it works?

    Cheers!!

Well, if the iMac has video in, and the XPS has video out, I don't see why it wouldn't.

Sounds like a 'birds and the bees' chat...lol. :p

OP, yeah, PC/Mac compatibility is a complete non issue if were talking video signals.

If your iMac has a DisplayPort in, your good to go!
