Well, I'm new here and not too sure what exactly is common knowledge? Sorry if I ask a dumb question, but I was looking at the XPS M1530's component options on the Dell online store, and I saw that I was given the option for an Intel Wireless-N card (which I hear is better than the standard Dell equivalent) only for the 32-bit Windows Vista model, and the LED monitor only for the 64-bit model. Now I'm interested in both of those options, so I was wondering how I can get around this problem? Thanks a bunch.

Yeah I just got a 1530 too and I was also bothered by all the different choices that were presented through different links. However, I did manage to find both the Intel card and the LED screen under one form. Look for sale links in long lists of ads along the side of the screen.

    Also, two things.

    1) If you find the Intel card and LED screen altogether on a laptop but no 64bit, you can order the pc and then receive a free copy of 64bit vista by contacting Dell and requesting it. One contact that specifically works for members of this forum seems to be DELL - Chris M on the Dell Community Forums, just let him know you'd like vista 64bit and he'll send it right out.

    2) Once you order your computer, dell will call you within a couple of hours, assuming youre in the states (not sure if they do this in other countries). Anyway, they will ask if you'd like anything else with you order, or what not. If you were only able to get, let's say, the wireless card you wanted, take this opportunity to say NO I didn't, I also want the LED screen and didn't see the option in your form. I don't see why they wouldn't accommodate. Hope that all helps : )
